#StopHatredNow 2026 casts the spotlight on power and accountability

What role and responsibility does art play in a cultural transition? How do different choices shape our lived reality—what do the representations seen on stage, the curatorial choices made in museums and other institutions, or the direction of cultural policy reveal about our times? To whom do power, freedom, and responsibility in the art world fall?

As polarization deepens, funding shrinks, and discourses on representation and equity intensify, #StopHatredNow turns the spotlight on power, accountability, and care. The keynote lectures, panel discussions, and workshops organized during the event week will delve into these topics from different perspectives, including leadership, curation, accessibility, and inclusion. There will also be concrete advice and tools presented that will benefit both larger institutions and individual artists alike.

The entire event week program is free of charge and can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world, as the majority of the program will be streamed live.

#StopHatredNow 2026 kääntää valokeilan valtaan ja vastuunkantoon

Minkälainen merkitys ja vastuu taiteella on kulttuurisessa murroksessa? Kuinka erilaiset valinnat muovaavat elettyä todellisuuttamme – mitä lavoilla nähtävät representaatiot, museoissa ja muissa instituutioissa tehtävät kuratoriaaliset valinnat tai kulttuuripolitiikan suunnat kertovat ajastamme? Kenelle valta, vapaus ja vastuu taidekentälle lankeavat?

#StopHatredNow-tapahtumaviikko etsii vastauksia taide- ja kulttuurikenttää korventaviin ajankohtaisiin kysymyksiin toukokuussa. Polarisaation syventyessä, rahoituksen supistuessa ja representaatioita ja yhdenvertaisuutta koskevien diskurssien kiihtyessä #StopHatredNow kääntää valokeilan valtaan, vastuunkantoon ja hoivaan. Tapahtumaviikon aikana järjestettävät keynote-luennot, paneelikeskustelut ja työpajat syventyvät näihin aiheisiin muun muassa johtamisen, kuratoinnin, esteettömyyden ja inkluusion näkökulmista. Luvassa on myös konkretiaa, josta hyötyvät niin isommat instituutiot kuin yksittäiset taiteilijatkin.

Tapahtumaviikon ohjelma on kokonaisuudessaan maksuton ja siitä voi nauttia mistä päin tahansa maailmaa, sillä valtaosa ohjelmasta striimataan suorana.
